This weeks NME contains an article that is frankly a load of crap. It's titled "Peter: 'I'm gunning for Oasis'". It basically contains a ton of utter rubbish about Pete(r) Doherty thinking he can top Oasis' newest album 'Dig Out Your Soul'. I have 4 words for you Doherty... It's not gonna happen! Lets face it, whether you love or hate Oasis you cannot deny the phenominal influence they have had on todays music scene. Their new album has been especially influencial as it is reasonably different to anything they have really ever done before. But please, if a band has to try and get one better than Oasis let it be anyone but Babyshambles and more to the point Peter Doherty! Although, it does sort of prove a point... while Oasis are aiming to be bigger than The Beatles, Babyshambles are aiming to be bigger than Oasis. What I don't think Peter Doherty doesn't realise is that he's going to have to take an awful load of drugs before he thinks anything he writes is going to be half as good as the work of the Gallaghers (although that wouldn't be much of a change for him, would it?)
So really, this is going to be a bit of a short blog because it might start to get a bit repetative. Basically leave Oasis to do what they do best, writing amazing music. And i'll leave you to do what you do best Doherty, if there is anything except from getting your nipples out.. hmmmmm??

ReplyDeleteI don't believe that is the point Camilla. Besides they've produced loads of amazing music and gained a huge fan-base which is really what they set out to do. So ha to you! and a warning to everybody reading this. NEVER mess with me when it comes to Oasis. Ever :)
